Our popular Riverside Holiday Village is a proud Plastic Free Champion

Located near the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, Riverside Holiday Village is thrilled to announce that we are now a Plastic Free Champion!

Launched by Surfers Against Sewage, and supported by Cleaner Coastlines and Plastic Free Weston-super-Mare, the Plastic Free Communities campaign works to support businesses (like ourselves) who are committed to removing avoidable single-use plastics.

To achieve the Plastic Free Champion Award, a business needs to remove at least three single-use plastic items and show a commitment to tackling any others present in the business moving forwards - and that’s exactly what we have done! Visitors to the Kingfisher Club at Riverside Holiday Village will notice that we have replaced plastic takeaway boxes and cutlery with eco-friendly recyclable takeaway boxes and compostable wooden cutlery. Plastic coffee cups have been eliminated, and single-use plastic condiment sachets have been replaced with a refillable ‘pump-station’ with paper cups.

Our business is reliant on visitors coming to enjoy everything that our seaside town has to offer, and we are proud to be a part of the Plastic Free Community.

Congratulations to our amazing team, we appreciate all of your support!

The inspection included an assessment of each parks; Location and Access Sustainability/Green Credentials Customer Care Cleanliness/Maintenance Toilets Other Site Facilities Pitches Grounds All three parks scored an impressive 90% overall. With Coombes and Rose Farm both achieving full marks for 'customer care' and Riverside’s impressive facilities bagging them the top score. When visiting Four Star Parks, customers can expect a high-quality site with well-maintained facilities and very good customer care. Additionally, each park was awarded a Gold Award, placing them being amongst the best sites in their star category. David Tattersall, Group Manager of West Country Park Homes: "Yet another well-deserved result here. This level of award, by such a high-brand Assessor, just proves that we are hitting the high standards consistently. The inspections were carried-out without specific notice."
