Top reasons why Burnham is the best place to stay in a Holiday Cottage

Burnham-on-Sea beach close by to the holiday cottages.
Sandy beaches cover miles of shimmering water in Somerset, one of England's most beautiful counties. The people are friendly, and the local produce some of the best. Burnham-on-Sea arose in the Victorian era and retains this charming atmosphere, with donkey rides and tea shops where you can enjoy the nations favourite drink to your heart's content.

Burnham-on-Sea is a traditional family resort and has been a popular holiday spot since the 18th century. With sandy beaches, Burnham provides a variety of entertainment and activities. So staying in one of our holiday cottages in Burnham-on-Sea means you will be well placed for your UK holidays.

Burnham has one of the longest sandy areas in the UK and it has the shortest pier in Somerset. Take a look at its 3 lighthouses, which led thousands of ships to safety past the offshore rocks. The low lighthouse is still in use and is the best know landmark in Burnham-on-Sea.

Food lovers will find a spiritual home. Burnham hosts a number of food and drink festivals throughout the year which are not to be missed. Hundreds of local and national traders are involved in these massive markets, with competitions, buskers, excursions and even cookery classes taking place.

Burnham has a theatre and a vibrant cultural scene for all of its 'beachiness', and there are public parks, where you can chill with a book in the evening.

The inspection included an assessment of each parks; Location and Access Sustainability/Green Credentials Customer Care Cleanliness/Maintenance Toilets Other Site Facilities Pitches Grounds All three parks scored an impressive 90% overall. With Coombes and Rose Farm both achieving full marks for 'customer care' and Riverside’s impressive facilities bagging them the top score. When visiting Four Star Parks, customers can expect a high-quality site with well-maintained facilities and very good customer care. Additionally, each park was awarded a Gold Award, placing them being amongst the best sites in their star category. David Tattersall, Group Manager of West Country Park Homes: "Yet another well-deserved result here.
