Things to see and do whilst camping or touring in Cheddar

It's impossible to plan a trip to Cheddar without thinking about the breath taking Cheddar Gorge and Caves
An international centre for caving and rock climbing, Cheddar Gorge and Caves are less than 3 miles from the Rodney Stoke Caravan and Camping Park. At 400ft deep and 3 miles long, the Gorge is one of Britain's most spectacular natural landmarks, and areas of the mysterious caves are over 500,000 years old!
With over 20 different attractions, they're definitely worth a visit!
Rodney Stoke provides the ideal base for walking in the Mendips and Cheddar Valley. The 4-mile circular Gorge Walk offers visitors spectacular views, plus the chance to encounter some local wildlife including feral Soay sheep, jackdaws, buzzards and ravens. And there are plenty of lesser known walking trails (of varying difficulties) to tackle - here's a list to get you started.
Venture into charming Cheddar Village and browse its numerous gift shops, coffee shops and tea rooms. Pick up some Cave Aged Cheddar from The Original Cheddar Cheese Company or visit their dairy and watch cheese being made the traditional way.
For those willing to venture a little further, Glastonbury is just a 30 minute drive away with lots to see and do.
