This family orientated Park is set within the beautiful Mendip Hills surrounded by some stunning walking trails. The seaside towns of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are only a few minutes drive away with sandy beaches and lots of family activities on offer. Local transport links are located just outside the park.
We offer Accommodation options to suit every need including seasonal and overnight touring pitches, static holiday homes to rent or buy, riverside camping facilities and holiday camping pods. This park provides great facilities for our guests including an indoor swimming pool, convenience shop and seasonal fishing.
Our younger visitors can enjoy hours of fun on our purpose built play area whilst their parents relax with a well-earned drink at our fully licensed Kingfisher Club. With a range of amusements located on the park there is always something to do, even on those rainy days!
2018 has also seen the addition of a new luxury lodge development at the park. Cherry Tree Lodge Park is situated in a secluded peaceful area close to the river, with its own private entrance and carpark.
Hard Standing Seasonal Pitches with Electric Hook-ups
Say goodbye to water-logged awnings! All of our Seasonal Pitches are hard standing so they can be used all year round without any of the problems associated with grass only sites.

A comfortable venue in which to unwind and relax, serving fresh flavourful food with weekend entertainment.
Featuring washing, drying and ironing facilities, with washing up area.
We are a dog-friendly Holiday Park with a purpose built dog-walking field.
Riverside is situated on flat-land and all walkways are fully tarmacked for ease of access.
Fast internet access, Wi-Fi code available at reception.
Shower and Toilet Blocks
Our toilet blocks are centrally heated and cleaned daily.
Every pitch now boasts private parking directly adjacent to the pitch, we also have a large visitor’s carpark.
For added peace of mind we have a friendly on-site warden. Riverside also benefits from 24hr CCTV cameras so that our visitors can feel completely secure whilst enjoying their time with us.
Seasonal Fishing River
The River Axe runs along the rear of the park and is generously stocked with Roach, Perch, Chub, Pike, Carp and Eels. To enjoy our fishing lake, you must have a National Rod Licence (the Park Permit must be obtained from Reception), night fishing is not permitted. Seasonal fishing is 16th June – 14th March.

Visitors love our heated indoor swimming pool. Open daily from 10.00am our pool provides all weather entertainment for the whole family. The poolside area offers the perfect place to sit and relax, whilst those sun-seekers amongst you can enjoy the adjacent outdoor patio.
For our younger visitors, a separate splash pool keeps smaller children safe and happy whilst they find their water wings.
Poolside changing facilities are also available so there’s no need to splash through the park in your wet swimming costume!
Swimming pool charges do not apply for our short-stay visitors who book through Hoseasons. For those staying in touring caravans, motorhomes, tents or privately owned holiday homes an annual usage fee of £35.00 must be paid at reception.
For safety reasons, we ask that all children under 16 years old be accompanied by an adult.
Fishing on the Riverbank at Purn Holiday Park
The River Axe runs (The word Axe is a version of the Celtic word for water) along the rear of Purn Holiday Park and is surrounded by lots of wildlife, flora and fauna, where you can relax, in the peacefulness and fish from dawn to dusk.
Fishing is FREE until Jan 2016 when staying with us if you are not staying, daily passes can be purchased from reception.
They are generously stocked with Roach, Perch, Chub, Dace, Pike, Carp and Eels.
A valid National Rod Licence is required.
Riverside has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment which has seen the addition of 22 brand new top of the range holiday homes and lodges to the park. Each home comes with its own allocated parking space, visitor parking and outdoor garden area. From time to time we are also able to offer pre-owned homes for purchase.
We also offer a variety of holiday rental packages, with static caravans sleeping up to 8 people. These packages are available through Hoseasons, please click the link for more information.
We offer casual touring and 11-month seasonal touring pitches at Riverside Holiday Village (the Park is closed between 9th January – 11th February). All of our touring pitches are hard standing with electric hook-ups and allocated car parking. Electricity is included within the booking fee.
Camping pitches are available towards the rear of the park in a tranquil setting near to the River Axe.
At Riverside Holiday Village we have 4 Timber Pods available for hire. Enjoy all of the benefits of a camping holiday without the stress of having to set-up or pack away, a definite bonus if you have little ones to entertain! Each Pod sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children and comes fully equipped with electric hook-up, 2 camping mattresses and a kettle.
Riverside Holiday Village is open for 11 months of the year with a shut-down period between 9th January – 11th February

The Kingfisher Club at Riverside Holiday Village has recently undergone a full refurbishment and now offers a modern, comfortable venue to enjoy during your visit, with a brand new menu and plenty of outdoor seating for those warm summer evenings.
We also offer live weekend entertainment with additional events and Kids Club during high-season.
