 At West Country Parks we offer pristine hard-standing and grass camping pitches at this picturesque caravan park and campsite near Cheddar Gorge in beautiful Cheddar. All pitches are supplied with electric hook-up.

Located at the foot of the Mendip Hills between Cheddar and the Cathedral City of Wells, the stunning Cheddar Gorge and Caves are less than 3 miles from our campsite (just an 8-minute drive), where visitors can experience cliff-top walks, rock climbing and the Museum of Prehistory.

The Rodney Stoke Inn can be found just in front of the campsite and the quirky Cider Barn is just one mile away, serving an array of sourdough pizzas and bar snacks with a fantastic selection of West Country ales and ciders!

The Cheddar campsite has also benefitted from a brand new utilities and shower block (2020) with separate Ladies and Gents facilities, central heating, token operated showers and hairdryers, individual toilet cubicles and separate wash basins.

The Cider Barn

Located just a 20-minute walk from our Cheddar Campsite, The Cider Barn serves a fantastic selection of sourdough pizzas and classic pub snacks.

Hard Standing and Grass Touring Pitches

Forget grass-only sites. Our pitches can easily be used all year round with no water-logged awnings. All pitches are supplied with electric hook-up.


Dog-Friendly

No holiday feels complete without your four-legged friend, we offer dog-friendly accommodations in our caravan park near Cheddar Gorge.


On-Site Warden

Our friendly warden is here for your safety.


Shower and Toilet Blocks

Brand new utilities and shower block (2020) with separate Ladies and Gents facilities, central heating, token operated showers and hairdryers, individual toilet cubicles and separate wash basins.

Touring and Camping
At Rodney Stoke we offer hard-standing or grass pitches for casual touring and camping. Booking fees include water and electric. 

Check in/out
Check in from 12pm - 6pm and check out by 11am.

Cancellations
You may cancel your booking at any time. We do not offer refunds for cancelled 
bookings, unless a minimum of 4 weeks notice is given (with a valid reason). The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure

With over 20 different attractions, Cheddar Gorge and Caves is an international centre for caving and rock climbing.

Sample some local Cave Aged Cheddar Cheese, or visit the dairy and watch it being made the traditional way!

The 4-mile circular Gorge Walk offers spectacular views, but there are plenty of lesser known walking trails to tackle aswell!

Beginners can enjoy hourly rides, or if you're a more experienced rider, book a day ride.

Enjoy a variety of taster sessions from qualified instructors at Cheddar Reservoir.
