The River Axe flows directly through our family friendly holiday park on its way to the Bristol Channel and we have created a purpose-built fishing lake at the rear of the holiday park which is generously stocked with roach, perch, chub, pike, carp and eels. It's the ideal base for you to enjoy your river fishing holiday in Somerset! Spend a leisurely afternoon by the lake and you will probably encounter some of the local wildlife, including ducks, Canadian geese and a beautiful family of swans. And if you’re really lucky, you may even see a kingfisher or two!

In addition to our fantastic fishing lake, our holiday park offers a great range of facilities for our visitors including an indoor heated swimming pool, lively bar and clubhouse and adventure play area. So there’s always plenty going on to keep the whole family entertained in between your fishing trips!

Our self-catering static caravans provide options to suit parties of up to 8, plus pets, and our new campsite facility is already receiving rave reviews from our visitors!

Each static caravan is fully equipped with all of the essentials for a comfortable fishing holiday, including; gas central heating, digital TV, a gas cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils and linen. Book a platinum caravan and you will also enjoy your own private sun-deck where you can enjoy alfresco dining with a delivery from our takeaway, or simply sit and watch the world go by!

Your guide to fishing at Riverside Holiday Village

Before you begin fishing at our holiday park, please ensure that you have purchased your fishing pass from reception. If you have booked to stay in one of our static caravans, your fishing pass will be included in your booking fee, just ask for more information when you check-in.

You will be required to present your Fishing License when purchasing your fishing pass. You will also need to carry your pass and license when fishing at the holiday park.

Please familiarise yourself with our fishing rules before you head down to the lake;

No Swimming. Do not enter the water.

Fishing is allowed from dawn until dusk. No night fishing.

Be prepared to show your EA License and Fishing Pass.

No keep nets. One landing net per peg.

Barbless hooks only (maximum size 12).

No lines heavier than 12lb breaking strain.

Feed pellets must be coarse or carp varieties only. The use of any bait is permitted on the hook.

No boilies. No fixed rigs. No braid reel lines.

No littering. Please use the bins provided.
